Cartoon Tomfoolery (#325)

You are invited to play this quick minor league-version of the The New Yorker Caption Contest

"New Yorker" drawing by Drew Dernavich (contest 325)

Every week I enter the contest in the magazine.  Below are five captions.  Three are the magazine’s semifinal selections, one is the winner, and two are mine.  See if you can guess which are which.

A.  “Botox.”
B.  “Care to guess what’s going on underground?”
C.  “Looks like a culture of denial”
D.  “Brings back the days when we were stoned.”
E.  “Believe me, it’s what’s under the ground that’s most interesting.”

This cartoon is the property of The New Yorker.  I devour every issue and consider the magazine “must” reading for writers and those who appreciate good writing.

Answers:  C winner, B & D Duane’s captions, B Duane’s submission
